1. Who we are
CSCA Prep is a study companion for the CSCA (Chinese university entrance examination for international students). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, our iOS app on the App Store, and our Android app on Google Play.
Contact: support@uniincn.com
2. Data we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to run the app:
- Account email — provided when you sign in with Apple, Google, or email. Used to identify your account across devices. We never see your password.
- Study progress — the CSCA questions you attempt, your answers, scores, and time spent. Stored against your account so you can resume on any device.
- Minimal diagnostics — error logs and basic device model, used only to keep the app working.
We do not collect: precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health data, SMS, browsing history, IDFA, advertising identifiers, or any other cross-app signal.
3. How we use your data
- To create and secure your account.
- To sync your CSCA study progress across your devices.
- To diagnose and fix bugs.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
4. No tracking across apps or websites
CSCA Prep does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Specifically:
- We do not use Apple's AppTrackingTransparency and do not request access to the IDFA.
- We do not integrate any advertising, attribution, or cross-app-tracking SDK.
- We do not share your data with data brokers or ad networks.
5. Sign-in providers
When you sign in with Apple or Google, the provider sends us a signed identity token containing a stable user ID and your email (and, for Apple, optionally your name if you choose to share it). We store these to recognize you on future logins. Each provider's own privacy policy also applies:
- Apple — apple.com/legal/privacy
- Google — policies.google.com/privacy
6. Where data is stored
Account and study data are stored on our managed cloud backend (PostgreSQL), encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Our cloud provider acts as our data processor.
7. Retention
We keep your account and study data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must retain it to comply with law.
8. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Access and export your study data.
- Correct or update your profile.
- Delete your account and all associated data — inside the app go to More → Account → Delete account, or email support@uniincn.com.
- Withdraw consent or object to processing.
Residents of the EU/EEA, UK, California, and other regions with comparable laws have additional rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA). Contact us to exercise them.
9. Children
CSCA Prep is intended for users aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
