Receive your acceptance letter and the JW202/JW201 form from your university.

Prepare documents
Passport (6+ months validity), photo, financial proof, health check, police clearance.

Apply for X1 / X2 Visa
X1 for studies over 180 days; X2 for short-term. Apply at your nearest Chinese embassy.

Arrive & register
Within 30 days, convert your visa into a residence permit at the local PSB.
